Report: Ravens sign guard R.J. Prince

The Baltimore Ravens are continuing to bolster their roster as much as possible ahead of OTAs and training camp. With the offensive line a big focus given Baltimore’s run-heavy offensive scheme, the Ravens brought in another offensive lineman for depth.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Terez A. Paylor, Baltimore signed guard R.J. Prince.

Prince had been signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent last year. He played in all four of their preseason games but didn’t make the 53-man roster, instead getting pushed to the practice squad.

Prince stands at 6 feet 6 and 311 pounds, and told Draft Diamonds’ Damond Talbot that he can play both tackle positions if needed. That versatility is something the Ravens love in their depth players.

Prince isn’t to be viewed as a starter but training camp depth. He’ll likely be competing with guys like Patrick Vahe, Patrick Mekari, Randin Crecelius and Kofi Amichia for a chance to make it to the practice squad.

Baltimore was already at the 90-man limit (actually at 91 with an International Pathway player), so with Prince signed, the Ravens will have to cut someone.
