Report: Ravens interested in free agent LB Brandon Marshall

The Baltimore Ravens are among five teams interested in former Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall, per NFL Network’s James Palmer.

The news comes after reports that former Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley has drawn heavy interest early on in the tampering period. Couple that with the fact that Mosley could draw north of $15 million per year after linebacker Kwon Alexander set the market with a 4-year deal worth about $13.5 million per year, and it seems that Baltimore may be preparing to move on without Mosley.

Drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 as a fifth-round draft pick (142nd overall) before signing on with Denver in 2013, Allen has played in 74 games with 63 starts and totaled 423 combined tackles, 6.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and two interceptions. He has also played in 7 postseason games with four starts, posting 21 combined tackles and a forced fumble in the playoffs.

In 2018, Marshall posted 42 combined tackles over 11 games and seven starts for the Broncos. For his performance last season, Pro Football Focus graded Marshall out as a middle-of-the-road linebacker, giving him grades of grades of 55.9 against the run and 67.1 against the pass (64.2 overall). Denver had a chance to exercise a team option on Marshall for the 2019 season, but  instead chose to decline the option and let him hit the open market instead.
