Report: Ravens have more positive COVID-19 tests Tuesday

The worst doesn’t appear over for the Baltimore Ravens this week. After placing three players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, the team had even more positive COVID-19 tests on Tuesday, per The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec.

It’s unclear how many more positive tests Baltimore has had today but the team has canceled practice and will make all activities virtual for the day, likely while they wait for contact tracing to be done.

Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins tested positive on Monday while Brandon Williams was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after being labeled a “close contact.” All three players will miss Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers while Ingram and Dobbins could miss next week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys due to the 10-day window established in the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols.

While the health and safety of the players, staff, and their families are most paramount in this situation, any further losses to starters would be yet another blow to the Ravens. They’ve seen several starters head to injured reserve already, including tight end Nick Boyle, left tackle Ronnie Stanley, and five different cornerbacks. With Ingram, Dobbins, and Williams already slated to miss at least Week 12’s game against Pittsburgh, Baltimore is beyond thin at a number of positions.
