Report: Rams will face Browns on Sunday night in Week 3

The Los Angeles Rams will face one of the NFL’s most exciting teams early in the season. According to Joe Reedy of the Associated Press, the Rams will travel to Cleveland in Week 3 to take on the resurgent Browns.

This will be the first time Cleveland is on Sunday Night Football since 2008, so clearly NBC and the NFL believe it will be a huge ratings draw with the Rams in town. It should be an offensive shootout with both teams boasting stars on that side of the ball.

It’ll be a showdown between Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff, Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb, Brandin Cooks and Odell Beckham Jr., as well as many others.

The last meeting between the Rams and Browns came in 2015 when Nick Foles was at the helm for St. Louis, and Johnny Manziel was under center for the Browns. The Rams blew out Cleveland 24-6 behind Todd Gurley’s 128 yards and two touchdowns.

So the Rams will be on the road in Week 1 against the Panthers, host the Saints in Week 2 and travel to Cleveland the following week. That’s not exactly a cakewalk to start the year.
