Report: Rams give Robert Woods $1M raise in 2019, $2M guaranteed in 2020

The Los Angeles Rams got a steal when they signed Robert Woods to a five-year, $34 million deal back in 2017. He’s outplayed that contract and now the Rams are rewarding him for his performance the last two years.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams are giving Woods a raise. They’re adding $1 million to his salary in 2019 and giving him a $2 million roster bonus for 2020, which is fully guaranteed.

That’s a nice bump in pay for the veteran wide receiver, who’s signed through 2021.

Woods’ $6.8 million annual salary ranks 34th among all NFL receivers, which shows how underpaid he is. Last season alone, he caught 86 passes for 1,219 yards and six touchdowns – all career highs.

This is a generous move by the Rams to reward a player who’s outperformed the contract he signed two years ago.
