Report: Rams could face Cowboys in Hawaii preseason game

The Los Angeles Rams already know they’re going to play a 2019 preseason game in Hawaii, they just haven’t announced which team they’ll be facing yet. According to Todd Archer, who covers the Cowboys for ESPN, the Rams are in discussions to face Dallas in Hawaii next preseason.

The report also states that the target date for the game is Aug. 17, according to ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry.

Regardless of who the Rams play, the game will be held at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu sometime this summer. While teams prefer not to face regular-season opponents in the preseason, the Rams did exactly that twice last year. They faced both the Saints and Raiders in the preseason and again in the regular season.

The Cowboys are on Los Angeles’ schedule, so that wouldn’t prevent this matchup from happening, and given the following Dallas has, it makes a lot of sense. The Rams and Cowboys packed the Coliseum in the Rams’ return to Los Angeles in 2016.
