With the Oakland Raiders owning the No. 4 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, they are going to do their due diligence on all of the top prospects. That includes meeting with and working out the quarterbacks.
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Raiders will be meeting with the top two quarterbacks in this draft in Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins this week. While it seems unlikely that the team would use their top selection on a quarterback, it is noteworthy nonetheless.
It’s also very possible that the Raiders are trying to make it look like they are interested in the two passers to entice a team to trade with them. If the Raiders are set on Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams, pretending like they might draft a quarterback could force a team behind them to move up in front of them.
