REPORT: Raiders to host FA CB Tyler Patmon and S George Iloka

The Oakland Raiders continue to overhaul their defense as they are set to meet with multiple defenders on Wednesday. According to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Tyler Patmon, Nevin Lason, Georga Iloka and Curtis Riley are set to visit with the team today.

Of the four players visiting, the most notable is Iloka. Iloka had some of the best seasons of his career as a strong safety in Paul Guenther’s defense. In his seven-year career, he has tallied 362 total tackles, nine interceptions, and three forced fumbles.

In 2018, Iloka played for the Minnesota Vikings, starting three games while appearing in all 16. However, Iloka only played 117 total snaps as he was primarily a backup.

While Iloka won’t be brought in to start, he can be a valuable piece in this defense as a third safety. Expect a deal to get done as he reunites with his former coordinator from Cincinnati.
