REPORT: Raiders release RB Chris Warren

The Oakland Raiders made a somewhat shocking more on Sunday, releasing second-year running back Chris Warren, according to Scott Bair of NBC Sports.

After leading the league in preseason rushing yards, Warren was placed on the injured reserve list due to a knee injury. With the selection of Josh Jacobs in the first round and Doug Martin and Jalen Richard behind him, there just wasn’t a spot on the roster for the Warren.

It will be interesting to see if the former Texas running back catches on elsewhere.
