Former Steeler Antonio Brown faces suspension after argument with Raiders GM

In the latest episode of the Antonio Brown soap opera, things aren’t looking great for the petulant wide receiver. He has found himself in a pickle with his new team. And frankly, it’s so much easier to write something like this when he’s not on the Steelers anymore.

According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, Brown got into an argument with Raiders general manager Mike Mayock on Wednesday, and the team is planning to suspend him. The disagreement was likely related to Brown’s social media post calling Mayock out for fining him.

Raiders writer Vic Tafur of The Athletic confirmed the dust-up and added to the story that Brown had to be held back by teammates.

Let’s be honest — a lot of the problems the Raiders are having with Brown now are the Steelers’ fault. OK, not directly, but the truth is the way the Steelers handled Brown — not fining or punishing him for all his antics — has helped create a player who thinks he can get away with anything.
