REPORT: Raiders interested in trading for Jets WR Robby Anderson

The Oakland Raiders have already made two trades to upgrade their wide receiving corps this season, but it doesn’t appear they are done quite yet.

According to Connor Hughes of Bleacher Report and Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the team is considering trading for Robby Anderson of the New York Jets. Anderson has played in six games for the Jets this season, catching 17 passes for 266 yards and one touchdown.

Anderson is in the final year of his rookie contract and is set to hit free agency in 2020. However, the Jets are willing to move on from him now to pick up any kind of draft asset for next season.

Anderson is one of the league’s best vertical threats, averaging nearly 15 yards per receptions throughout his career. While he isn’t the No. 1 receiver that Oakland is missing, he would be a fantastic complement to Tyrell Williams in the time being.

Oakland won’t give up one of their first-round picks for Anderson, and they don’t have a 2020 second-round pick either. But would they consider moving a third or fourth-round pick for the former Temple receiver? That remains to be seen.

The NFL trade deadline isn’t until Tuesday, October 29 at 4:00 p.m. E.T., but expect the Raiders and Jets to discuss a trade multiple times between now and then.
