REPORT: Raiders give Antonio Brown $30 million guaranteed

One of the biggest reasons that the Pittsburgh Steelers were struggling to find a suitable trade partner for Antonio Brown is due to his contract demands. Brown made it clear that any team he signs with will need to give him a new deal. Luckily for him, the Raiders were able to meet his demands.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Raiders gave Brown an additional $30 million in guaranteed money over the next three seasons, something that was not on his contract. Per Rapoport, the Raiders are now on the hook for Brown at three-years, worth up to $54.125 million.

While it isn’t clear what Brown will need to do to reach that max contract value, this is a significant raise for Brown. For the Raiders, it is a lot of money they are spending on their new star receiver, but the team certainly had the cap space to afford him. For both sides, this seems like a clear win-win.
