REPORT: Raiders expected to sign DE Josh Mauro

The Raiders are continuing their free-agent spending spree, this time adding a defensive end. According to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders are expected to sign defensive end Josh Mauro, formerly of the New York Giants.

Raiders can hold a practice now. They're expected to sign ex-Giants DE Josh Mauro, source said. He would join Arden Key as the second defensive end under contract, although Mauro can play DT, too. Was in Arizona with Raiders D-line coach Brentson Buckner.

Mauro, 28, last played for the New York Giants in 2018. He recorded 28 tackles, four tackles for a loss and one sack in 12 games. Mauro has played for three teams, but has spent most of his career with Arizona. He is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2019.
