Report: Raiders consider Trent Brown ‘one of their top targets’ in free agency

The Oakland Raiders have heavy interest in tackle Trent Brown, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. He is one of their top targets. A New England Patriot in 2018, Brown is also expected to make his decision quickly when he hits free agency.

Brown begins negotiations with teams at noon on Monday during the legal tampering period. The two parties can agree to terms, which will become official at the start of the 2019 league year on March 14 at 4 p.m.

As the starting left tackle, Brown played every one of New England’s games during the 2018 season. The Patriots traded for him on the final year of his deal during the 2018 offseason in May. He was expected to compete for the start job with Isaiah Wynn, who tore his Achilles in the 2018 preseason but may be the natural replacement if Brown departs in free agency.
