REPORT: Raiders agree to four-year deal with S Lamarcus Joyner

The Raiders continue to spend. Late on Monday night, Adam Schefter of ESPN has announced that the Raiders have agreed to a four-year deal with former Rams’ safety Lamarcus Joyner.

Joyner started 42 games for the Rams and played in a total of 67 games for the team. During his career, he’s recorded 305 tackles and 12 tackles for a loss to go along with four interceptions. In 2018, Joyner finished as Pro Football Focus’ 34th-ranked safety, excelling in run defense and rushing the passer.

He makes for a perfect fit with strong safety Karl Joseph as he can be a true free safety in Paul Guenther’s defense, but also can contribute in the run game. Considering his versatility, this is an excellent signing for the Raiders.
