Report: QB Jake Browning signing with Vikings

The Vikings didn’t draft a quarterback late in the NFL Draft like some expected. But it didn’t take them long to sign an undrafted free-agent quarterback.

Per Adam Jude, the Vikings will sign former Washington Huskies quarterback Jake Browning.

Browning threw for 3,192 yards, 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season with Washington to go with 139 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

Browning wasn’t expected to get drafted, so this isn’t a huge deal, but he’ll be a player who will be looking to compete for a roster spot this summer into training camp.

He joins Kirk Cousins, Sean Mannion and Kyle Sloter as quarterbacks on the roster. Mannion and Sloter are expected to compete for the backup spot.
