Report: Priscila Cachoeira vs. Ariane Lipski set for UFC on ESPN+ 21 in Sao Paulo

It appears the UFC’s return to Brazil this fall has its first matchup.

A pair of Brazilians will be gunning for their first win in the promotion when Priscila Cachoeira (8-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) takes on Ariane Lipski (11-5 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in a women’s flyweight bout at UFC on ESPN+ 21. The booking first was reported by Brazilian news outlet Combate.com, though it hasn’t been officially announced by the promotion.

UFC on ESPN+ 21 takes place Nov. 16 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo. The event will stream on ESPN+.

Cachoeira started her pro career 8-0 in Brazil. But she was submitted by current champion Valentina Shevchenko in her promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 125 in February 2018. After 13 months away, she dropped a decision to Molly McCann at UFC on ESPN+ 5 in March, then lost a decision to Luann Carolina in May for a three-fight skid.

Lipski came to the UFC earlier this year on a nine-fight winning streak. But in her promotional debut at UFC on ESPN+ 1 in Brooklyn, she dropped a unanimous decision to Joanne Calderwood. She followed that up in June with a decision loss to McCann at UFC on ESPN+ 12.
