REPORT: Pittsburgh Steelers to sign former Clemson standout Ray-Ray McCloud

The Pittsburgh Steelers wasted no time scooping up free-agent wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud after bringing him in for a tryout on Monday. According to NFL.com reporter Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are signing McCloud.

Displaying breakaway speed and athleticism, McCloud was a dynamic playmaker for the Clemson Tigers on offense and special teams. He finished his Clemson career with 717 return yards and contributed 1,226 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

The 5’10 receiver was a 2018 sixth-round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills and last played on special teams for the Carolina Panthers in 2019. In 16 total games, McCloud has logged 102 punt return yards and 192 kick return yards. As a wide receiver, he has five receptions for 36 yards.
