Report: Patriots work out S Su’a Cravens

Free agent safety Su’a Cravens was in Foxboro Tuesday for a workout with the New England Patriots, via NFL Network National Insider Ian Rapoport.

This is an interesting one: The #Patriots worked out former #Redskins second-round S Su’a Cravens today, source said. He most recently played for the #Broncos.

This comes on the heels of New England trading away a pair of defensive backs this past weekend in cornerback Duke Dawson to the Denver Broncos and fellow cornerback Keion Crossen to the Houston Texans.

Cravens played for the Broncos in 2018, and appeared in five games after being drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. The University of Southern California product spent all the 2017 season on the Redskins reserve list after team president Bruce Allen convinced him not to retire.
