Report: Patriots waive OT Cole Croston, sign UDFA Martez Ivey

The New England Patriots have waived offensive lineman Cole Croston with a non-football injury designation, according to ESPN’s Field Yates. The Patriots then added another tackle, Martez Ivery, an undrafted free agent out of Florida, per the team.

Croston was a UDFA back in 2017 and was signed by the Patriots in early May of that year. He appeared in five games over the last two seasons.

Ivey was a two-year starter for the Gators. He was named Second Team All-SEC by the league’s Coaches and the Associated Press in 2016 and 2018.
New England still has one open roster spot after signing Ivey. Grabbing another offensive lineman would make sense.
