Report: Patriots signing DL Mike Pennel, TE Matt LaCosse

Former New York Jets defensive lineman Mike Pennel and former Denver Broncos tight end Matt LaCosse are signing with the New England Patriots, per Field Yates of ESPN.

Pennel is a 5th-year pro, who has accumulated 102 total tackles, six tackles for loss and one sack during three seasons with the Packers and two with the Jets.

LaCosse is a 3rd-year tight end who has accumulated 27 receptions on 41 targets for 272 yards and one touchdown in five games with the Giants and 17 games with the Broncos.
