Report: Patriots sign Brian Schwenke to one-year extension

The New England Patriots have signed interior offensive lineman Brian Schwenke to a one-year deal worth $895,000. He will stay with New England for the 2019 seasons.

Per @FieldYates, the Patriots have signed reserve C/G Brian Schwenke to a one-year, $895,000 extension through 2019. Schwenke was active for 3 games in 2018. Alongside Ted Karras, he added experience/depth behind starters David Andrews (C), Shaq Mason (RG) and Joe Thuney (LG).

Schwenke was active for three games for New England in 2018 after spending five seasons with the Tennessee Titans, where he was a backup but was often thrust into a starting role.

The offensive lineman, a fourth round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, rejoins interior offensive linemen starters David Andrews, Shaq Mason and Joe Thuney along with reserve Ted Karras.
