Report: Patriots hire former Browns executive Eliot Wolf as a consultant

The New England Patriots brought in a new addition to their front office.

Former Cleveland Browns assistant general manager is joining New England as a consultant, according to MMQB’s Albert Breer. Wolf spent the past two seasons with the Browns, and the 14 seasons prior with the Green Bay Packers in numerous positions. He began as the Packers’ pro personnel assistant and worked his way up to the director of football operations.

His father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Ron Wolf, served as the Packers’ general manager for a decade.

The Patriots retained director of personnel, Nick Caserio, giving them a strong front office presence heading into the 2020 season. New England will need it with a slew of high profile free agents hitting the market.

Wolf provides the Patriots with another critical member in their staff.
