Report: Patriots, Eagles to hold joint practices in training camp

The New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles will hold joint practices during training camp in 2021, according to NBC Sports’ Reuben Frank.

The Patriots already have joint practices on the books with the New York Giants, headed by coach Joe Judge, who served as New England’s special teams coordinator before leaving for the Giants’ gig.

The Eagles don’t have any direct New England ties, though their quarterback Jalen Hurts played at Alabama with Patriots quarterback Mac Jones. That should be a fun reunion. New England and Philly are set to match up in the second week of the preseason at Lincoln Financial Field. The teams will conduct practice on Aug. 16 and 17 at the NovaCare Complex.

It’s likely to be a great opportunity for New England to tune up their roster, especially considering they have just three preseason games in 2021.
