Report: Panthers sign former Redskins G Tyler Catalina

According to a report by Jourdan Rodrigue at the Athletic, the Panthers have signed former Redskins guard Tyler Catalina.

Catalina (6-foot-6, 314 pounds) played three years of college football at Rhode Island before finishing at the University of Georgia. He went undrafted and was picked up by Washington on May of 2017.

Catalina played seven games that season and started two. He spent last year on the injured reserve list due to a torn labrum.

In order to make the 53-man roster, Catalina will have to outperform guys like Rishard Cook and Kitt O’Brien.

Versatility might be the key that can put him over the top – Catalina has previous experience playing left and right tackle in college.
