Report: Panthers meeting with Alabama State OT prospect Tytus Howard today

The Carolina Panthers seem laser-focused on improving their offensive line before Cam Newton takes the field again. The team’s early moves in free agency were all about upgrading and maintaining that unit. From signing Matt Paradis to re-signing Daryl Williams and releasing Matt Kalil, an extensive overhaul looks to be in the making.

There are likely more changes coming, based on recent reports. The team has met with former Saints offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod, apparently. The 2019 NFL draft class is also worth tapping into. Even after bringing Williams back an OT pick is definitely not out of the question.

According to a report by Josh Norris at Rotoworld, Alabama State offensive tackle prospect Tytus Howard is visiting with the team today.

A former high school basketball star, Howard also played quarterback before growing into a new role on the offensive line. He checked in at 6-foot-5 and 322 pounds at the combine. He posted 21 bench press reps and a 5.05 second 40-yard dash time.

On film, Howard has quick feet and shows good posture. Let’s have a look.
