According to Erik Spanberg of the Charlotte Business Journal, the Carolina Panthers are exploring of submitting a bid to host the NFL draft in Charlotte. Some elected officials are on board with the idea, per Spanberg’s report.
The draft has been in various cities after being held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City from 1965-2014. It was in Chicago in 2015 and 2016, Philadelphia in 2017 and Arlington, Texas, last year. This year’s draft will be hosted by the Titans in Nashville, Tennessee.
