Report: Packers WR Davante Adams avoids serious toe injury

Early indications are positive regarding the toe injury suffered by Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams during Thursday night’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, an MRI of the injury completed Friday revealed that Adams has likely avoided a serious injury to his toe.

Adams, who caught 10 passes for a career-high 180 yards before exiting the game, is being evaluated by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, who is based in Green Bay.

Both Rapoport and coach Matt LaFleur left open the possibility of Adams missing games. The Packers have 10 days off before going to Dallas to play the Cowboys next Sunday.

“As far as long term, it’s tough to say right now,” LaFleur said Friday. The Packers coach said he’d know more about Adams’ availability coming out of the weekend.

Adams left the game in the fourth quarter and didn’t return. He was in too much pain to come back into the game, and the Packers failed on two opportunities inside the 5-yard line without him.
