The Green Bay Packers waived Derrick Jones after he failed a physical on Tuesday, two days after the team claimed the former New York Jets cornerback off of waivers, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Jones, a sixth-round pick in 2017, had been dealing with a knee injury prior to being released by the Jets.
Jones played in four games for the Jets between the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
The Packers roster will revert back to 89 players.
Jones becomes the second claimed player since June to be waived by the Packers due to a failed physical, joining tight end Michael Roberts.
