Report: Packers to play Giants in New York in Week 13

The Green Bay Packers will travel to the Big Apple to start the December stretch of their 2019 schedule.

According to Matt Lombardo of NJ.com, the Packers will head to New York to play the Giants on Dec. 1. The game is scheduled for a noon CT kickoff in Week 13.

The rest of the Packers’ schedule will be announced later Wednesday night.

The Packers went to New York last December, beating the Jets in overtime at MetLife Stadium on Dec. 23.

The Packers have won two straight games against the Giants, but both games were at Lambeau Field. The club hasn’t beaten the Giants in New York since 2011.

The Giants traded away star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. this offseason but still have reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Saquon Barkley. They also signed receiver Golden Tate in free agency and acquired guard Kevin Zeitler and safety Jabrill Peppers in the trade with Cleveland.

Veteran Eli Manning is expected to start the season as the starting quarterback, but could a rookie – taken at No. 6 or No. 17 overall in the first round, perhaps – be the starter by the time the Packers come to New York in December?
