Report: Packers LT David Bakhtiari planning to play vs. Vikings

The Green Bay Packers will likely avoid an injury disaster along the offensive line in Week 2.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, left tackle David Bakhtiari is planning to play against the Minnesota Vikings despite a back injury that bothered him this week.

Bakhtiari, a three-time All-Pro, missed practice Thursday. He returned Friday but wasn’t 100% sure he’d be ready to play Sunday.

Barring a setback during pregame, Bakhtiari will start and face Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen.

It’s unclear how the Packers would have replaced Bakhtiari at left tackle. More than likely, right guard Billy Turner would move to left tackle while rookie Elgton Jenkins plays right guard.
