Report: Packers had interest in WR Demarcus Robinson

The 2020 season of receiver Demarcus Robinson will be worth tracking for the Green Bay Packers.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Packers showed interest in Robinson before agreeing to sign receiver Devin Funchess on Tuesday.

Robinson, a fourth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016, caught 54 passes for 737 yards and eight touchdowns over the last two seasons. He averaged 13.6 yards per catch, caught 61.4 percent of his targets and averaged 8.4 yards per target as a complementary receiver in the Chiefs offense.

The receiver-needy Packers passed on Robinson and picked Funchess, a former second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers who played in just one game in 2019 after breaking his collarbone in Week 1 with the Indianapolis Colts.
