Report: Packers bringing in free agent WR Chester Rogers for visit

The Green Bay Packers will host wide receiver Chester Rogers on a free-agent visit, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Rogers was released by the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday after signing with the team back on Aug. 9.

Rogers, 26, spent his previous four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. He made 53 appearances in Indianapolis, recording 111 career receptions for 1,221 yards and five touchdowns during his time with the team.

The Packers will cut down their roster to 53 players by Saturday. In the receiver room, Davante Adams, Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling figure to be the team’s starting three. Two or possibly three roster spots are up for grabs behind them.
