As the Houston Rockets continue to struggle this season, currently riding a 10-game losing streak, the trade rumors have began to circle the organization with the March 25th trade deadline approaching. First reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Rockets guard Victor Oladipo recently turned down a two-year, $45.2M contract extension from Houston.
Oladipo turning down an extension from the Rockets comes to no surprise after the continuous reports that he has a preference of joining the Miami Heat come free agency this offseason as he is set to become an unrestricted free agent. Kevin O’Conner of The Ringer reports that Oladipo ‘still hopes to find himself in Miami’, whether that be via trade before the deadline or this offseason during free agency.
This news comes on the heels of the report that the Nuggets, Jazz, and Nets have all called Houston in regard to the availability of Rockets veteran PJ Tucker.

Oladipo was acquired by the Rockets from the Indiana Pacers for Caris LeVert in part of the four-team trade on January 13th which sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets.
In 13 games with Houston this season, Oladipo is averaging 18.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
