REPORT: Ohio State to be ‘short-handed’ against MSU on Saturday

Everything is pointing towards Michigan State-Ohio State being a go on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean the Buckeyes will be at full-strength.

No. 4 Ohio State has been dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak amongst the program, and while they have returned to practice in preparation for their game against MSU on Saturday, the Buckeyes will be “short-handed.”

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said on his weekly radio show that the Buckeyes will be “a little short-handed” but didn’t specify who would be missing the game. Day personally won’t be able to attend Saturday’s match-up after testing positive for COVID-19 last week.

According to ESPN, Ohio State is expected to issue a list of unavailable players for this match-up against MSU on Friday. The Buckeyes players and staff will be tested on Friday before leaving for East Lansing.

Kickoff between MSU and Ohio State is scheduled for 12 p.m. EST on Saturday. The game will be nationally televised on ABC.
