Report: Odell Beckham’s list of preferred trade destinations included Broncos

Odell Beckham is no longer a member of the New York Giants, and the Denver Broncos were on a short list of teams he was interested in being dealt to.

Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, ending rampant speculation that the former first-round pick would be leaving the team that drafted him.

Prior to the trade being made, Beckham apparently provided the Giants with a list of teams he wanted to go to. In addition to the Browns, the Dallas Cowboys and Broncos were potential destinations.

One of the reasons Beckham could have included the Broncos could have been his close personal friendship with Von Miller. However, in the end, he landed in Cleveland. The Browns also have Jarvis Landry, Beckham’s college teammate at LSU.

OBJ’s friendship with Landry put the Browns at the top of his list and the Giants obliged by sending him there.

It’s interesting to imagine what it would have been like if the Broncos were able to trade for Beckham. However, seeing what the Browns reportedly gave up (Jabril Peppers, a first round pick and a third-round pick), would Broncos fans have wanted to see that?

Beckham may have had some interest in coming to the Mile High City, but would that feeling have been mutual? Probably not.
