Report: No Tommy John surgery for Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger

The most interesting elbow in Pittsburgh belongs to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger injured the elbow on his throwing arm in last week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks and this sent him to the IR. But the severity of the injury and a timetable for Roethlisberger’s return has been largely unknown.

But according to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, Roethlisberger’s injury is not worst-case scenario and he won’t require dreaded Tommy John surgery. This means Roethlisberger should be healthy and ready to roll at the start of the 2020 season.

For the remainder of the season the Steelers will look to Mason Rudolph to run the offense.
