Report: NFL shuts down team asking if Jalen Ramsey could play twice in one week

Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey has made it clear he wants out of Jacksonville, but the two-time Pro Bowler says he’s fully committed to playing for the Jags while he waits for a trade. Ramsey is expected to play Thursday night against the Titans for what could be his final game with the team.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, one NFL team asked the league whether it would be able to play Ramsey this weekend if he were to be acquired after appearing for the Jaguars on Thursday. Fortunately for Ramsey, NFL rules prohibit players from being active for more than one game in a given week.

Kansas City and Philadelphia are two logical landing spots for Ramsey, but Ramsey said in August that he’d prefer to play in Nashville or Las Vegas.
