Report: New England Patriots RB Sony Michel had minor knee procedure

According the Boston Globe, the reason former Georgia football running back Sony Michel missed some of the New England Patriots offseason program is because he had an arthroscopic procedure done on his knee.

From the Boston Globe:

It’s unclear when Michel had the scope, but he wasn’t on hand for any of the practices (one OTA session and three minicamp workouts) that reporters were allowed to watch.

The rookie back appeared in 13 games with seven starts and rushed 209 times for 931 yards and six touchdowns in 2018. In the playoffs, however, is where America really began to take notice. In three games, including the Super Bowl, Michel ran 71 times for 336 yards and six touchdowns. He set the rookie record for most rushing touchdowns in the postseason.
