Report: N.C. State’s Ryan Finley is only QB prospect Bengals have brought in

The Cincinnati Bengals have been the subject of speculation when it comes to quarterbacks.

A new report quiets this a bit. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that North Carolina State’s Ryan Finley is the only passer who has officially been inside Paul Brown Stadium during visits season.

Finley (6 feet 4, 213 pounds) has floated around the college game since 2014 and tossed 25 touchdown passes last season. He earned a comparison to Sean Mannion from NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein and is a target for the middle rounds or later.

Of course, Finley is far from the only quarterback the Bengals have been linked to during the process. Both Zac Taylor and Duke Tobin haven’t ruled out the position as a whole, and both have made plenty of trips since the combine, including Ohio State’s pro day for Dwayne Haskins.

During the pre-draft visit process, a lack of official connection with a prospect isn’t a major indicator one way or the other. All teams have had plenty of meetings with prospects, as well as the combine, pro days and beyond.
