Report: Multiple Bengals players still undecided on playing 2020 season

The Cincinnati Bengals could have multiple players opt-out of the 2020 season.

Many teams have had multiple players take the opt-out option available to them in the face of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

For the Bengals, defensive tackle Josh Tupou was the first domino to fall, as he informed the team Friday he’ll opt-out.  Head coach Zac Taylor had previously hinted at having these conversations with some players, though nothing concrete as players still have well into next week to make a decision.

But there’s a chance Tupou could merely be the first of a handful of players to opt-out. According to Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer, there are multiple players still undecided:

For now, there’s only speculation as to which players might take a pass. Any loss is a loss at this stage as training camp gets going, as it forces the team to potentially add more outside players via an extended onboarding process.

In the coming days and over the course of the next week, expect to hear more on the Bengals opt-out front.
