Report: Michigan State Football beat out Oklahoma for transfer Jarrett Horst

Mel Tucker and his staff came into East Lansing being known as ace recruiters. It was going to be a new approach to the Spartan football program. After a solid 2021 recruiting cycle, Tucker and staff took to the transfer portal to help transform the roster into what they seem fit.

The staff acquired some big names through the portal, and many could be key contributors in the years ahead. Arkansas State offensive line transfer Jarrett Horst is someone who is on the list of huge additions to the Spartan program.

According to a report from Matt Wenzel and Mlive the Spartans beat out Oklahoma, twice, to earn the commitment of Horst. Fighting with the Sooners to the finish line, but Michigan State came out on top.

Beating out one of the nation’s best-recruiting programs is something for Spartan fans to hang their hats on and could be a very telling sign of the future for Mel Tucker and Michigan State.

It is also reported Michigan State has nine spots left for summer enrollees so be sure to look out for more transfers or late signing day recruits.
