Report: Max Strus officially inks Two-Way deal with Celtics

The Boston Celtics have officially signed former DePaul guard Max Strus to a Two-Way contract, according to Yahoo Sports’ Keith Smith.

Strus, a three-and-D specialist, joins rookie point guard Tremont Waters as Two-Way signings. Waters would reportedly agree to sign a Two-Way contract with the Celtics on July 9.

23-years-old, Strus averaged 20.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.9 steals per game in his second and final season with the DePaul Blue Demons. The signing, which is no surprise given Strus and Boston came to a verbal agreement in the latter half of June but how things shake out at training camp may ultimately secure the spot for the undrafted wing.

According to the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach, Strus could even feasibly earn a spot on the 15-man roster with a good enough showing in training camp.

In the Las Vegas Summer League, Strus averaged 9.8 points per game while hitting 45.0 percent from deep (on 5.0 attempts per game).
