Report: Marcus Morris parts ways with agent Rich Paul

While Rich Paul’s clients have a track record of drawing at least their market value if not well above it, at least one of his high profile clients clearly feels as though he fell through the cracks of Klutch Sports’ elite operation.

Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reported on Saturday that Marcus Morris, who recently reneged on a two-year $20 million offer from the Spurs San Antonio Spurs to sign a one-year deal of just $15 million with the New York Knicks, has apparently parted ways with Paul and Klutch as his representation.

According to Bondy’s sources, Morris also turned down a $41 million offer from the Los Angeles Clippers, which will certainly raise some eyebrows as the Clippers look like the toughest foe in the Western Conference for LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers.

The Knicks offer for Morris did come late in the process after there were some complications with their attempted acquisition of former Lakers guard Reggie Bullock.

Morris is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, averaging nearly 14 points per game on a career best 44.7% field goal percentage and a career-high 6.1 rebounds per game, as well as a solid 37.5 % from the 3-point line for the Boston Celtics.
