Defensive tackle Malcom Brown is signing with the New Orleans Saints after four years with the New England Patriots, according to a source and as first reported by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Brown was a Patriots’ first-round pick in 2015.
The Patriots elected not to pick up Brown’s fifth-year option, which set him up for free agency this offseason. At the time of the 2019 NFL Combine, the Patriots had not reached out to Brown with a contract offer, per a source. Neither thing seemed promising for his return.
He finished his four-year career in New England with 186 tackles, 8.5 sacks and two Super Bowl wins.
