Mackenzie Dern will return to the octagon after suffering her first career blemish as a pro.
Dern (7-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will reportedly take on Ariane Carnelossi (12-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC Lincoln on April 25, according to Brazilian outlet Combate.
Carnelossi also posted about the contest on Instagram.
After more than a year-and-a-half hiatus from the sport due to pregnancy, Dern returned to action against Amanda Ribas at this past October’s UFC on ESPN+ 19. However, Dern was outstruck over the course of three rounds, as she was unable to get the fight to the ground. She will now look to rebound, when she takes on another fellow Brazilian in Carnelossi.
Carnelossi is coming off a third-round stoppage loss to Angela Hill in her UFC debut at this past September’s UFC on ESPN+ 17 in Mexico City, which snapped her 12-fight winning streak.
