REPORT: LT Cam Robinson expected to be week-to-week with a hyperextension

Jacksonville Jaguars fans can now take a breath as left tackle Cam Robinson didn’t receive any structural damage to his right knee after exiting Thursday’s practice with a bit of a scare. Per James Palmer of the NFL Network, the injury is being ruled a an hyperextension, which will make Robinson a week-to-week case.

As most are aware, Robinson had just returned Week 3 of the preseason from an ACL injury he sustained Week 2 of the 2018 regular season against the New England Patriots. However, that injury was to his left knee, not the right knee which is now the issue.

Per coach Doug Marrone, Robinson’s latest injury occurred while the Jags were practicing Thursday as the third-year tackle’s knee “gave out” despite not being engaged with a defender. As a result, he was placed on the team’s injury report as limited because he wasn’t able to finish practice.

Robinson’s injury is not only big because he’s a big part of the run game, but also because the Jags’ reserve tackle, Cedrick Ogbuehi, is out with a hamstring injury he sustained Week 3 of the preseason. That has unfortunately put the Jags in a situation where they will have to start Will Richardson at left tackle, who has never played a game there aside from in victory formation.
