Report: Lions work out former AAF QB Luis Perez

According to a report from Sirius XM’s Adam Caplan, the Detroit Lions recently worked out former AAF starter QB Luis Perez.

There is no date given for the workout, but Perez was not sighted by anyone in the Lions media in Allen Park during the open portion of OTAs this week. He remains unsigned.

Perez had a brief stint with the Philadelphia Eagles after a starting run in the AAF for the Birmingham Iron. The strong-armed Perez completed just 52 percent of his passes, throwing 5 TDs against 6 INTs in the AAF. He spent part of his rookie NFL season of 2018 on the Rams practice squad after going undrafted out of Texas A&M-Commerce.
