Report: Lions will work out free agent WR Dontrelle Inman

The Lions continue to scour the secondary free agent market in search of upgrades on the depth chart. GM Bob Quinn’s latest stab at bulking up the Detroit roster is wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Inman will audition with the Lions on Tuesday. The 30-year-old Inman was a part-time starter with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018, catching 28 of the 39 passes thrown his way and scoring 3 TDs. His best season came with the Chargers back in 2016, when the 6-3, 205-pounder caught 58 passes for 810 yards and 4 TDs while starting every game for San Diego.

He does have some NFC North experience. Inman started 7 games for the Chicago Bears back in 2017, catching 23 passes. He’s bounced around the NFL quite a bit; the Lions would be his fifth NFL team in 3 years.
