Report: Lions ‘met at length’ with WR Jamal Custis at Syracuse pro day

With pro days all over the country going on, the Detroit Lions are dividing and conquering prospect assignments for the workout sessions. While some Lions reps were in East Lansing for Michigan State’s pro day, at least one member of the staff was in Syracuse to check out the Orange prospects.

One Syracuse player in particular caught the Lions attention: wide receiver Jamal Custis.

According to Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline, the Lions were quite interested in the 6-foot-4, 215-pound outside threat.

Pauline reports,

“Custis, who had 22 official interviews during combine week, met at length with the Detroit Lions today.”

I can personally confirm the Lions met with Custis back in January during Shrine Game week, where Custis had an up-and-down set of practices. The Philadelphia native led the Orange with 51 catches for 906 yards and 6 TDs in 2018.
